Ride Description: At this time we do not have an accurate calculation of the total elevation gain. While the overall amount of climbing is estimated to be near the 2650 ft. per 100 kilometers of Paris-Brest-Paris, the climbing is not spread out over the course. The first 45 miles is an almost continuous climb, rising from just over sea level in Ventura to near the top of Pine Mountain, gaining over a mile of vertical in the process. Unfortunately, it is not all at the 2% grade that these figures would imply, with significant amount of climbing in the 5% to 8% zone. Thankfully, there are no other climbs this long on the course.
